Join the last Big Breakfast of 2018 on 29th November

The final session of The Big Breakfast for 2018 will celebrate a bumper year of successful business networking across south London, Surrey, and Kent.

The free monthly business speed-networking event, supported by London Gatwick Airport and Coast to Capital LEP, will return to its regular IKEA Croydon venue, from 7am to 10am on Thursday, 29th November.

Over the year, the early morning sessions have attracted an average of 100 people, with 125 attending the sold-out October meeting.

Businesses are urged to end 2018 on a high by coming along on the 29th to network, make new contacts and do business. Attendance is free and delegates enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast, a business card prize draw, and receive a £5 IKEA voucher.

Alison Addy, Head of Community Engagement, Gatwick Airport, said: “We are delighted that The Big Breakfast has enjoyed another busy, successful year. It was exciting to see this great networking format roll out to new venues at Gatwick, and across Surrey and west Kent, allowing more businesses to connect and grow together.”
Malcolm Brabon, Head of Services, Coast to Capital LEP, added: “As the Local Enterprise Partnership, we have been keen to engage with and encourage businesses to connect across the area. It was good to see how busy the sessions have been with new delegates collaborating well with those businesses who had been before. It’s been a real success.”

Most of the 2018 attendees agreed, with many saying they had made viable leads which had either resulted in, or had the potential for new business.
Kevin O’Malley, Genistar said: “It was a fantastic networking event – the venue was really good, and well catered, and the networking moved quickly and smoothly. I made some great connections with some very vibrant, entrepreneurial business owners.”
Bola Okuboyejo, BAB International, said: “Well done to everyone involved in organising The Big Breakfast. I’ve been on several occasions and have made many good relationships and contacts that have led to more business.”
Karen Wheatley, Kingston College, said: “It was my first time at the event and I am delighted with the contacts I have made. I will definitely return in future.”

Each networking session follows a speed dating format, with delegates taking part in a series of four minute, one-to-one pitching sessions, to maximise the number of contacts they can make.

Places are going fast for the final event of 2018, from 7am to 10 am, on Thursday, 29th November at IKEA Croydon, Valley Retail Park, 2 Hesterman Way, Croydon CR0 4YA
