Epsom success a boost for Lingfield BB on Oct 31

Businesses are betting on The Big Breakfast to deliver winning leads at two of the country’s top racecourses this October.
South London’s biggest FREE business speed networking event – now in its seventh year – races into Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club for the first time on Tuesday, 31st October.
And thanks to a stunning outing for The Big Breakfast at Epsom Downs Racecourse last week (11th October), free advance tickets for the Halloween networking event at Lingfield are going fast.
Sponsored by London Gatwick Airport and Coast to Capital LEP, The Big Breakfast, which regularly attracts over 100 business people, is being held at Lingfield thanks to local partners, Surrey Chambers of Commerce, West Kent Chamber of Commerce and Croydon Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking at Epsom, Louise Punter, Chief Executive, Surrey Chambers said: “It has been an absolutely fantastic networking event. I’ve already met about six or seven businesses that we should be talking to and haven’t met before, so it’s been really successful. It’s a great set up and beautifully organised, and we are very happy to support it.”
Delegate Jim Bolt, of Printing.com in Redhill was so impressed with the Epsom event, he’s already booked for Lingfield. He said: “I really enjoyed it and have made some great contacts. I think taking the event to Epsom and Lingfield will attract people from a wider area, and getting businesses to work across county borders is a very good thing.”
Four out of five businesses at The Big Breakfast in Epsom were new to the event, confirming the decision by sponsors to take it to new venues. Alison Addy, Gatwick’s Head of Community Engagement commented: “We are really excited to be rolling out this fantastic networking format from its Croydon home to Surrey so businesses can connect and grow together. The Epsom event was really busy and successful, and I am sure Lingfield will be even bigger.”
Andrew Dennis, of Coast to Capital added; “We had excellent feedback from Epsom where 80% of businesses were new to the event. The Big Breakfast is now a widely recognised brand and we are all looking forward to seeing even more businesses from Surrey, Sussex and West Kent as well as Croydon at the Lingfield event.”
The Big Breakfast delegates at Lingfield Park Marriott will enjoy a free, light breakfast and informal networking from 7.30am, before one-two-one networking until 10.30am. The four minute speed networking – which works like speed dating – allows time-pressed delegates to pitch to a wide range of businesses.
Jessica McKechie of Alexander Hotels & Utopia Spas, who own boutique country house hotels across Kent, Surrey and Sussex said: “The one to one speed networking format works really well – four minutes is the perfect time slot to get across what you both do and to share contact details. I definitely hope to be at Lingfield.”
The Big Breakfast will be at Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club, from 7.30am to 10.30am on Tuesday, October 31.
